What is DodoSpeak Oral
DodoSpeak Oral is an Embedded AI Speaking Module: practice, tasks, History, and exams inside your own system.
Audience: buyers / integration owners · Applies to: DodoSpeak Oral (not the full teaching App)
Goal: Explain what Oral is, who it is for, and how it differs from SaaS and private deploy.
Proper name
DodoSpeak Oral — Embedded AI Speaking Module.
Oral is the product proper name and is not translated. Oral Console is the trial/console, not the product name.
External one-liner
Embed speaking practice, tasks, History, and exams in your existing school site, learning system, or app. It is not the full teaching product, and not another name for private deployment.
Principals and buyers should use the website wording; the rest of this article is for integrators (API, tokens, Embed).
Why use it
You already have an app, LMS, or content site. You only need speaking practice and exams inside that product, not a second teacher–student admin suite.
DodoSpeak Oral sells embeddable speaking (API + embed pages). It is not a white-label of the full DodoSpeak site.
In one line: you keep your shell and accounts; speaking sessions, scoring, and usage run on Oral.
What you get
| You receive | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Practice / tasks / History / exams (by plan) | Embed in your pages so learners speak or take exams |
| Oral API | Your backend issues short-lived tokens, confirms completion, and reads usage |
| Embed (hosted page + thin script) | Front end calls OralEmbed.mount for practice / tasks / History / exams |
Login, classes, and account pages stay in your system. Oral only sees the tenant and the external user ids you send.
What it is not
- Not the full teaching product (no organization-admin classroom suite). That is SaaS or private deploy.
- Not “iframe the whole admin console.” You embed practice, tasks, History, and exams — not the org back office.
- Not another name for private deploy. Private deploy is still the full product, just in the customer’s environment.
How to choose: Choose Oral, SaaS, or private deploy. The short chooser is also in SaaS, private deploy, and Oral.
What to do next
- Pick a plan (Lite → Exam). See Plans, entitlements, and usage.
- Pick an embed method: page widget or sign-in mint. See Two formal embed methods.
- Provision a tenant: you can start an Oral Console trial on the website; keep the production key on your backend only.
- Mount by method; treat the API as the source of completion and scores. See How to embed in your system, What to prepare before you start, and How to get exam scores and view records.
To try a live UI first, open Oral Console after website trial signup (demo environment; the four roles are not your production roles; default is Manager).
