Teacher: Usage and top-up approvals
Review class speaking usage and the org pool remaining; approve or reject extra-time requests.

Goal: Track each student’s monthly practice usage, handle extra-time requests, and check whether the organization pool still has allocatable minutes.
What planned practice time means
When you activate a class you set planned practice time (minutes) (must be > 0). Students’ speaking practice (including warm-ups) and mock / informal exam practice count toward Used; formal speaking exams usually do not. When a student runs out, they can request extra time; only your approval raises their plan.
The page title in the app is Usage (not “Class practice time”). Planned practice time remains the field name when activating or raising a class plan.

Organization pool (read-only)
At the top of Me → Usage you may see a read-only org pool summary aligned with admin Billing & usage, for example:
- Included / consumed / pool remaining
- Reserve / allocatable / committed / still allocatable
Approving top-ups, raising class plans, or adding student minutes consumes still allocatable. If the pool is short, approval may fail—ask an org admin to adjust reserve, draw from reserve, re-allocate, or buy more minutes in Settings → Billing & usage. See Minute pool & billing.
Approve or reject
- Open Me → Usage.
- In Pending extra-time requests, review student, class, minutes, and note.
- Approve or Reject.
After approval, the student’s plan minutes increase and they can start new practice.
