Class roster shows a student oral placement summary; does not auto-change class difficulty; not a formal exam.

Goal: Know where student oral placement results appear, what they are for, and how they differ from formal speaking exams / class language level.
What it is
Students can take a short oral placement (diagnostic) from Home when they need it. Their profile then stores a suggested band and certificate-style reference tags (e.g. “≈ N3 (reference)”).
On the Classes roster you may see a summary such as: Placement L3 · ≈ N3 (reference).
What it is not
- Not the path to assign a formal speaking exam.
- It does not auto-change the class language level; change the class in onboarding / class settings as usual.
- Not stage grades.
- Prefer copy like “placement / diagnostic / reference”—avoid telling students they “passed an exam”.
Suggested use
- At term start or for transfers, encourage an optional placement so you know speaking starting points.
- Use as a hint when assigning work; class policy and task requirements still win.

How to encourage students
- Start of term / transfer: suggest an optional first placement (not required) to gauge speaking starting points.
- After 1–2 weeks of practice: remind them they can retake voluntarily and compare band / sub-scores under Me.
- Roster summary is reference only—do not treat the band as the only grade or “passed level X”.
